In the Community-Based

Mentoring Program:

∙ Youth must be 6-14 years old
∙ Matches have fun doing no/low-cost activities like going to the park, baking cookies, attending a local
sporting event, playing board games, or attending our local match events
∙ Bigs and Littles commit to being in the program for 1 year
∙ Guardians help Littles maintain contact with their Big over the summer through letters and phone calls

Bigs and Littles in the Community-Based Program can choose to meet 2-4 times a month on weekday evenings or the weekends.

Each match is unique and develops a schedule that works for them.

Role Models Make An Impact

Studies show that youth who have role models tend to do better in school, have stronger relationships with family and friends, and are less likely to skip school or use drugs or alcohol. Students who are successful in school are less likely to drop out, abuse drugs, or commit crimes.

Get Involved
